During this strange time of uncertainty, stay at home orders, and limited travel options, the idea of living in an area with incredible amenities, breathtaking nature and a smaller population sure sounds appealing! Pitt Meadows is one of those places that I always have a soft spot for and would hope to retire to one day. Here are some of the great things about Pitt Meadows that may make you a fan too!

One of the great things about Pitt Meadows is the close proximity to some of the top golf courses in the region. If you are looking for a challenge, Swan-E-Set offers some prestine surroundings, a great layout with 2 courses, a beautiful club house, and
Crunch for time? Nearby Maple Ridge Golf Course offers an executive 9 hole course which you can play in around 2 hours.
Surrounded by rivers, lakes, and parks
A favorite past time for most people is a simple walk or light hike to get your steps in. Pitt Meadows is an area that rests at the intersection of the Pitt River and the Fraser River. A prime spot for fishing, rock collecting, bird watching, or a jog.
Pitt Lake is a popular spot that is surrounded by mountains and nature. It is the second biggest lake in Metro Vancouver and is a great place for boating, hiking, swimming and gathering.

Local farms and family fun
Perhaps some of the most well known activities in the area are the seasonal farms that cater to visits from families with young children, such as the corn mazes and pumpkin patches at Laity's Farm, the U-cut Christmas tree farms along Harris Road, and the fresh berries at any of the family owned farms scattered around the region.
Hopcott Meats is another great little gem in the area for all your farm fresh groceries and meats. This family run local butcher shop has fans from all over the Lower Mainland and is known for their quality meat and produce! Be sure to stop by when you are in the area!
