Transformation Tuesdays/"What Is Staging?"

Here at Happy Homes Vancouver, we like to take every opportunity to share with you what we call our “Transformation Tuesdays”. What is a “Transformation Tuesday?” you may ask. We invite you to continue reading to find out!

As a seller, the presentation of your home is key. In preparing your property to list on the market, one of the first things we help you with is to make your space presentable and welcoming to interested buyers! We do this through a process known as “staging” or “home staging”, which is “the practice of styling and furnishing a property for sale in such a way as to enhance its attractiveness to potential buyers” (Oxford Dictionary).  

When potential buyers enter your home and look around, they are envisioning how their everyday life will fit into the space they see. Staging the space, and putting it through a bit of a ‘transformation’, can help give people ideas and inspiration on how the home will feel if they become the next owners. We have seen countless homes undergo exciting transformations just by a little cleanup, positioning of furniture, or adding a piece of decor here and there! 

Our process of helping your home undergo a transformation looks a little like this: Before any actual transformation takes place, Simon and Luke from our team will come to your place to have a look around and help identify what to tidy up, as well as envision what elements we could add or move around to make the space look its very best. Then, they will schedule with you another time they can come to haul in all sorts of pillows, framed pictures, fake plants, and other decor, to realize the transformation process!
